- Monkey became sick out of nowhere on Sunday, 6/15, after a fun weekend visiting home. She has been getting worse and worse, especially since yesterday! I have taken out loans and borrowed money to pay for X-rays, meds, and an emergency visit. She needs at least 2 more X-rays and possibly a second opinion. She is only 6 and was just full of life less than a week ago. She is my heart, best friend, the sweetest, most loving dog I have ever known.
- I am nowhere near ready to say goodbye. So any help at all would be so very appreciated. I feel weird doing this, but I'm desperate!!!
- So today is the 23rd and she is still running a 103.5 fever and having trouble breathing! She was eating but today she stopped eatting again. I was able to get her to eat a little bit of chicken and white rice. Enough to take her meds. I called the 24 vet that we have l seeing and they need to do additional blood work to see why the antibiotics are not working! The cost is another $500!!!! I am so scared to loss her!! SO PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN SEND ANYTHING PLEASE DO!! I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL!!!

UPDATE!! WE ARE UP TO 3,000. I picked her up from the hospital yesterday, and she seems a little better. She still has a long way to go. She can't even lay outside the majority of the day, only first thing and at night. The heat is just too much. She still struggles to breathe. It's so hard to watch my baby struggle like a fish out of water. So very grateful for the help I have received and the hands that have helped her along this part of our journey. God has his way. If I would not have lost my job, I probably would have lost my dog, and by the way, the job is replaceable. Monkey is not!! Although this has made it really hard, not having money coming in. I'm so grateful to be able to be here to give her the treatment she needs 24/7.
