Update: Monique’s Brain Surgery Scheduled for January 2026 – Thank You So Much & We Still Need Your Help

First, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the fundraiser, prayed, or checked in on Monique. Your kindness and support have carried her through an incredibly difficult year, and our family is deeply grateful.

We are now entering the next—and most critical—stage of her journey. After 2 months of tests, consultations, and preparation,

Monique’s brain surgery is officially scheduled for January 2026 at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute, one of the most respected neurosurgical centers in the world. We are profoundly grateful she has made it this far.

Many of you may not know that Monique is an international patient from Jamaica, fighting this battle far from home, far from her support system, and without the safety net of health insurance. As an international self-pay patient, she must cover every cost—every scan, every appointment, every medication, every hospital stay—out of pocket.

Monique is now here in the United States at Johns Hopkins, preparing for the surgery that will save her life.

While we are hopeful and trusting in her medical team, this is a major surgery with a long road of recovery ahead. As we move closer to the date, the financial needs have also become clearer. Between pre-surgery appointments, post-operative care, rehabilitation, and time away from work, the costs continue to rise.

Many of you have already given so generously, and we cannot thank you enough. Your support has made it possible for Monique to get this far. But now, as we approach surgery, we humbly need to raise additional funds to ensure she can receive the care and stability she’ll need throughout the entire process.
