Help Us Honor the Life of Monique "Shawna" Simpson

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Monique “Shawna” Simpson, who passed away on May 11, 2025, after bravely battling kidney disease and congestive heart failure. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of her children, family, and all who loved her.

Monique resided in Houston, Texas, since 2010, but her heart always remained in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan—where she was born and raised. As a family, we are committed to honoring her final wishes by bringing her back home to Detroit so she can be laid to rest surrounded by the love and legacy she built there.

Unfortunately, we were unprepared for the financial burden of funeral and transportation costs. We’re asking for your support during this difficult time.
