Update 

Monique has been in remission, but sadly, she’s now lost function in one of her kidneys. Doctors also found a large mass in her back that needs to be removed, along with the kidney that’s no longer working. Her doctor will be performing the surgery to remove the kidney and part of the mass. However, the hospital requires 82% of my upfront deductible—around $1,500—before they can move forward. So she needs help from family and friends. We have about three weeks to determine the amount, or the surgery won’t happen.
