Support Monique & Carlo for tragic loss of twin daughters
Donation protected
A tragic house fire in the Philippines took the lives of my niece's precious 5 year old twin daughters, leaving her with unimaginable grief. My niece is my sister’s daughter and the twins are our first grandchildren in the family.
As she navigates this devastating loss, we want to support her in any way we can. Your generosity and support, whether through a donation or sharing the GoFundMe link, will make a significant difference to her family. A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover double funeral expenses and provide financial relief during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Please keep my niece and her husband and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
“A wife loses her husband is called a widow.
A husband loses his wife is called a widower.
A child who loses their parents is called an orphan.
There is no word for a parent who loses their child.
That’s how awful the loss is”.

I am the aunt of Monique Ong Flores, my younger sister’s daughter. Tragically, my niece lost her 5-year-old twin daughters in a house fire that started in their room. This devastating incident occurred at 2:21 pm on May 15, 2024.
My niece had hired two nannies to look after the twins while she was at work. On the day of the incident, one nanny had taken the day off, leaving the twins in the care of the other nanny. While the twins were napping, the nanny went downstairs to take a shower. When she emerged, she heard the twins screaming. She rushed upstairs and found their room on fire. Despite her efforts, she was unable to rescue them. Neighbors also heard the screams and saw smoke coming from the room.
This heartbreaking situation is unimaginable for my niece and her husband, as these were their only children. The father, who was in China studying Mandarin, arrived home the next day to this tragic news. He had left three weeks prior, with the twins seeing him off at the airport, only to return to find them gone.
I am deeply concerned for my niece and her husband, especially after my niece witnessed the horrific sight of her daughters' bodies. I have advised them to seek mental health support and to start anew. Their house was under renovation, but it is now destroyed by the fire.
The last time I spoke to the twins was on Friday, May 10, 2024, through FaceTime. It was a long conversation, and I cannot believe it was our last.
The donations will help cover the double funeral costs, relocation expenses, and the replacement of clothes and other belongings lost in the fire. It will also support their mental health therapy and help them rebuild their lives. Besides losing their precious twins, they also lost all the material possessions they’ve accumulate over a period of time. While they never be able to replace items with sentimental value. Sending money in any amount is a simple way to help them rebuild their lives after their children’s horrific tragedy and house fires.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. ❤️
