Hello,

My name is Elisa Leone. I started this campaign for my dear friend Monica Farfan.

Monica is a 51 year old single mom from Jujuy (Argentina). She lives in Cordoba, Argentina with her three beautiful children.

Monica was diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago. The cancer started in her ovaries and despite her diagnosis she became a mother of two beautiful boys, currently seven and nine years old.

Monica has retired earlier due to her health condition. Because money is never enough to cover for her many treatments, she started a small business selling organic products like eggs and chickens. With the income from this activity, she covers her daily expenses.

Now Monica is going through a new challenge. A recurrence of her cancer, this time with lesions in the peritoneum, liver and pelvic area. Her life depends on a special surgery. This surgery is done only in Buenos Aires at the Alexander Fleming Institute.

This procedure is not covered by her health insurance and it's very expensive. That is why her friends and family decided to start this fundraiser, to help her get the treatment she needs to be with her children.
