Support Monica's Journey to Kidney Health
Donation protected
Monica Williams, a dedicated massage therapist since 2008, has been a beacon of hope for many in need. Now, it's her turn to receive the support she needs to restore her own health. Monica's journey began with a degree in Child Development and Care from the University of Pittsburgh and continued with her graduation from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, where she now shares her knowledge as a teacher. Her recent hospitalization from June 24-27 unveiled distressing news - a mass was discovered in her right kidney, leading to a five-day absence from work and a subsequent reduced work schedule. On August 30, Monica is scheduled for a partial nephrectomy to remove the mass and a portion of her kidney at Allegheny General Hospital. Following the surgery, she will require three weeks to recover, during which she won't be able to work.
With the surgery fast approaching, Monica finds herself in a challenging financial situation. Despite her best efforts, she hasn't been able to set aside enough funds to cover her living expenses during the extended recovery period. While she has managed to pay smaller bills in advance by working extra hours, she is unable to cover larger expenses such as rent and medical bills for her hospital stays, surgery, and future recovery. Any financial assistance to help cover her medical and home expenses while she heals would be immensely appreciated. In addition, Monica has created a support list on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3FEXIJ9Y5H903). She would also be grateful for Giant Eagle or Target gift cards to help with grocery expenses. Your help during this challenging time would mean the world to her. If you are unable to help financially, a message of hope or sharing this post would still be greatly appreciated.
