My name is Magan and this GoFundMe is for my sister Monica. Monica’s had a series of unfortunate events over the last few years. In June of 2023 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After having bilateral mastectomies, chemotherapy and radiation Monica developed an infection from the radiation around one of her implants. The implant had to be removed and she has been healing slowly from that since August 2024. Monica is facing multiple surgeries in 2025 to reconstruct her chest. She is also helping to care for two elderly family members and working full-time. Today (January 23) when she got home the pipes had burst due to cold weather and her entire downstairs has flooded. She will need to move out while the house is repaired. Although she does have home insurance, prior to this she was navigating paying for things surrounding her cancer treatments not covered by insurance. My sister is very proud and will not accept help.
