Monica has always been the person who bends over backwards to help others, offering her time, knowledge, and compassion to anyone in need. For over a decade, I’ve watched her face down countless health challenges with a resilience and determination that’s nothing short of remarkable. Her journey began in a difficult childhood, where she developed serious digestive issues from chronic stress—struggles she’s continued to battle throughout her life. When I first read Monica’s story, I was amazed by her ability to overcome so many obstacles and still find the strength to help others.

Now in her 60s, Monica’s passion for health research has made her a lifeline for friends, family, and even strangers. She spends weeks, sometimes months, researching solutions to new health challenges, and she’s always eager to share what she learns. Monica’s knowledge and generosity have helped countless people and animals, and her impact on the health and wellness community is profound. She’s cared for rescued cats and dogs, educated others about animal welfare, and always stood up for what she believes is right—even when it meant being misunderstood or criticized.

I want to share a personal example of Monica’s impact. When one of my shepherds was facing serious health issues, Monica introduced me to something called a Teraherz machine. She had researched it thoroughly and explained how it could help. I am convinced that machine gave me more precious time with my dog while she was battling aggressive cancer, and I’ll always be grateful for Monica’s guidance. This is just one example of what Monica does all the time—she tells people about ways they and their pets can live longer, healthier lives. I truly believe she’s doing God’s work and needs to keep going, because there are so many more people and pets she can help.

Recently, Monica’s health took a serious turn. In her own words:

"Over the past 45 years, I have met many dozens, if not hundreds, of people with terminal illnesses who’d done conventional ‘treatments’ but they failed, and they were sent home to die, but then, in desperation, pursued alternative treatments and were healed. So, when it happened to me, I knew that there were effective options. When I was told I would ‘probably not survive the surgery’—no way was I going to do that. I was basically given a choice between major surgery with about a 10-20% survival (meaning 80-90% risk of death) and ‘meeting God within 3 months’. I decided no, I don’t accept those as the only two possible outcomes. I’d known too many people who’d defied the odds, and found healing when the doctors said it was impossible.

So when I was told in Nov 2024 I had 3 months to live, I didn’t accept that. I knew that the will to live, and a positive mindset, were important factors, and I also knew of many alternative therapies that had been used successfully by many, many people. I was given the ‘3-month’ death sentence again in Feb 2025, and again in July. Again, I translated in my mind ‘3 months to be healed’ rather than to die. Despite major setbacks, like complications from adult chickenpox and abscess surgery, I have already survived 9 months longer than they said I would! But, I’m not totally recovered yet, and can’t even say I’m out of the woods yet—I still have a potentially deadly situation—and I knew I needed help from a qualified practitioner, who could monitor me and guide me. My son, David, found a wonderful clinic that specializes in treatments that have been used successfully in other countries. These aren’t ‘experimental’ therapies but proven therapies. They work.

I was fully expecting the oncologist to tell me I HAD to do chemo, but he did the opposite; he told me why it wouldn’t work. And he encouraged me to pursue alternative treatments. So please understand that I’m not here because of some rigid dogma. Contrary to what some people have said, I’m not digging in my heels, attached to xyz ‘natural’ treatments out of some misguided philosophical agenda. No, I’m where I’m at because this is where my personal journey has led me. I declined almost certain, imminent death, in favor of proven-effective therapies, with an impressive track record. We’ve all heard of people being healed using xyz alternative. Good heavens, I’ve personally known people who cured themselves with nothing more than carrot juice! But carrot juice doesn’t work 100% of the time for 100% of cases. Nothing can boast that (certainly not the conventional ‘treatments’ which destroy the immune system and are known for recurring new disease).

What makes this clinic unique is the personalized, individualized care, along with a wide assortment of therapies that are strategically utilized. Dr Steve does a new assessment of each patient’s condition on a daily basis, and modifies the treatment accordingly. He utilizes labs and imaging to track progress, and he works to balance body chemistry, strengthen the immune system so it works together with the therapies, and he works to get to the ‘root cause’ of the condition, rather than suppressing it further. I was asked “Why can’t they give you an exact dollar amount and exact timeframe, like they do with standard treatments?” Because standard treatments are a ‘1-size fits all’ and the estimate is for the treatment, NOT for actual HEALING. At this clinic, the treatment is for the PERSON so it’s very individualized, and impossible to predict precisely how long it will take. So the goal for this fundraiser is an estimate. But I will tell you: Unlike conventional treatments, which can promise, at best, only a slight extension of life (and what quality of life is that??), this clinic aims for actual HEALING of the condition. What a novel idea! I firmly believe that virtually anyone can be healed, and I’ve already met people who’ve done it, and some were worse off than me!

Do they work 100% of the time for 100% of people? Nothing does that. But they have been proven far more effective for far more people than the conventional methods. I was told that the conventional methods wouldn’t work for me anyway. The doctor in the hospital told me he had no options for me, and he even encouraged me to pursue alternatives. I’ve been going to this clinic for 3 weeks now and feel like I’m coming back to life! Three weeks ago, I was throwing up and nauseous, in a lot of pain, and couldn’t sleep. I was beginning to wonder if, after all that, it was time to just crawl in a hole and give up. But now, after just 3 weeks of treatment, I’m holding down food, sleeping better, have less pain, and just overall feel way better.

I chose this clinic because of the doctors’ experience and expertise, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they are Christians, and they are praying for me, and ministering to me spiritually as well. I am very encouraged, and have renewed hope! I’ve worked with many doctors over the years, and never have I met any with the depth of knowledge that Dr. Steve has. I feel I am in the best possible place! I am in good hands! I realize that no one knows when it’s their time, and I have surrendered to God for the highest outcome in alignment with Divine Will. I am willing to accept it, whatever it is. And yet, I have felt guided every step of the way over the past year. Several times I almost died, but was somehow saved at the last minute. I could be wrong, but I really feel that the Lord has been with me and has been directing me. I feel that I am where I need to be.

But I need help! ALL of these alternative clinics are expensive. Not even remotely as expensive as conventional treatment, but they seem more so because insurance doesn’t cover it (thanks to the pharmaceutical/insurance medical monopoly in the US). So, although the estimated price tag is much less than what I’ve faced with hospital bills, and much less compared with, say, chemo, it is insurmountable because Medicare won’t help. Some of my family have helped, but that’s running out. Some people have said/implied ‘Well it’s your own fault because you’re choosing alternative treatments; why don’t you just get the chemo since insurance will pay for that?’ I have a question for those who told me that: If the surgeon told you you had a very tiny chance of surviving the surgery, would you do it? And then, if the oncologist told you that chemo was NOT an option and could likely damage other organs resulting in definite death, would you do it?"

So, although I can’t give a 100% guarantee that I will be successful (No one can do that), I am VERY optimistic just with the success I’ve had in my first 3 weeks.
