Monica, my daughter, passed away very unexpectedly at just 45 years old. Earlier this year, I also lost her sister, and the pain of losing both daughters in such a short time is unimaginable. Monica was born on 6/9/80 and passed away on 2/26/26. She choked on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and it took 45 minutes to revive her. Her brain swelled to the max, and there was no brain activity with extremely low oxygen. She was put on life support, but sadly, she did not survive. Had she survived, she would have been left in a vegetative state. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to take her off life support. As a senior citizen working as a School Bus Driver to supplement my income, covering funeral expenses is a challenge.
The funds raised will go directly toward Monica’s funeral expenses and memorial service. This support will help honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves. Monica had a big heart and would do anything for anyone if she could. She loved her family and friends deeply, and even after her sister’s passing, she always called to check in on me to see how I was feeling. She didn’t have much, but she was always there for anyone who needed her.
Any support for Monica’s funeral and memorial service would mean so much to our family during this difficult time. Thank you for reading Monica’s story and for considering a donation to help us honor her life.
