Update:
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Monica passed away yesterday at 4:25pm. We have met with the funeral home to arrange services. We were able to get the cost down to “only” $12,000, so I have adjusted the fundraiser accordingly. Thank you so much to those who have donated and shared.
Friends, Family, and kind supporters--
Our precious Monica is a mother of three, a sister to three, and a beloved aunt to eight nieces and nephews. She has overcome and defeated a heinous battle with addiction, and just as we got her back, she discovered a new battle was afoot: cancer.
What initially began as lung cancer has metastasised to her brain, kidneys, liver, and is slowly overtaking the rest of her vital organs. Our family is grappling with the sadness, stress, and unfortunate truth that we will have to say our goodbyes in the coming hours to days so she can be with our Lord.
We humbly ask that you consider donating any amount to assist us with making her as comfortable as we can as her life here on earth is ending and so that we can send her into heaven properly with a funeral service fit to exemplify the heart and love she had.
In under three years, our family has had to bury several of our own. The holiday season is a stretch for all as it is, but, unfortunately, we find ourselves approaching yet another funeral service in the coming months. We understand everyone has their commitments. If supporting us financially is at all possible, we would be eternally grateful.
We are thankful for every share, every encouragement, and every prayer that comes our way.
Cash/check donations:
Sean and Lorri Witt - $100
The Staton Family- $500
Acts Church Waco donated $1,819.80 today (12/14). I’m not sure how to effectively reflect that on the goal total as they donated via check, but our current fundraising total is: $5,569.80 (which is 46% of our goal!)
