Kevin is starting this fundraiser for his fiancée, Monica, during one of the hardest seasons of her life. Monica was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia. Since then, her health has declined to the point that she has been considered permanently disabled. She is now wheelchair-bound and can no longer walk more than about 10 feet without having to stop because of severe joint pain. Monica has always been an independent, strong, and motivated person who wants to work and contribute, so this sudden loss of mobility and independence has been heartbreaking and overwhelming for her.

Although Monica has insurance, it only covers a small portion of her prescriptions and other medical costs. Her doctor has also recommended surgery on her hands and knees in hopes of relieving some of the pain and immobility she is facing. Because Monica is unable to work and is still fighting for disability, the financial strain has become crushing. This fundraiser will help with medical expenses, living costs, overdue bills, car payments, and upcoming rent while she focuses on getting through this painful time.
