Hello, I am Monica Barros. I am a multi-sport athlete and I attend a small charter school in the Bronx. I have earned a partial scholarship for the CIEE Study Abroad Program where I will be living with a host family in Monteverde, Costa Rica, practicing Spanish in an immersive environment, and learning more about my passion for science.

The program tuition after the scholarship is $2,970, and the cost to fly to Costa Rica is around $500. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which I would love to attend. Anything would truly help to contribute to my goal. Thank you!!
