Exciting News!
I am honored to have been accepted into the Healing Politics Campaign School at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy! This is an incredible opportunity to strengthen my political knowledge and advocacy skills as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
I am especially thrilled to represent our statewide NP organization, the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network (FNPN), and make them proud! Our profession needs strong representation in the political arena to ensure that policymakers understand the vital role NPs play in expanding access to high-quality care.
As an Autonomous NP leading my own practice, I witness daily the challenges patients face due to outdated and restrictive healthcare policies. Through this program, I will gain the tools needed to advocate for full practice authority, eliminate barriers to care, and push for legislative changes that empower NP-led practices—not just in my own clinic, but throughout Florida and beyond.
This isn’t just about our profession—it’s about our patients and their right to accessible, high-quality healthcare. We must ensure that decision-makers recognize NPs as key players in solving the healthcare access crisis.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes with tuition and travel costs, and I need your support to make the most of it! Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to creating a healthcare system where NPs can practice to the full extent of their education and training.
Let’s keep moving forward together—because when NPs have a seat at the table, our patients and communities win.
Together, we can make a difference!
