Support Mona's Heart Recovery Journey

My sweet nurse friend Mona could sure use some prayers and support. She had a heart attack at work a month ago and had to have stents place. She then had a 2nd cardiac event and had to have cardiac bypass.

She has been out of work for a while and has a long recovery ahead of her.

Here is her story .. “The complete story of my heart issues...I had a NSTEMI at work on the 5th of February and had a Stent placed in my LAD on the 6th the next day I had chest pain again in same spot an EKG was done 45 mins after the incident ..the Drz informed me EKG was good and that she was going to prescribe me imdur for pain..so at this point I figured a little pain now and then was to be expected as my heart sees the Stent as a foreign body and reacting to it with pain..I was discharge and kept have said pain off/ on through the weeks of my recovery and kept convincing myself it was nothing just angina pain...Well on the morning of Feb 25 the pain came on again and kept getting worse with no signs of resolving..Ems arrived and took me to UAB and .they finally caught on EKG what was happening during this painful event , I was going into complete heart block, I had a wonderful cardiologist there who did another heart cath found another awful blockage and advocated for me to have a bypass surgery ..God put me in right place to have more chest pain and the right person to diagnosed what was happening Dr.Prime at UAB saved my life!!
