Support Mona to Survive in Gaza and Her Son to Get Eye Care

My name is Anna (personal Instagram and fundraising instagram ) I live in Washington State in the USA and I am supporting my friend Noor's mother Mona in fundraising. Gaza is slowly losing more resources and aid is being cut. Food is near impossible to obtain unless you can pay obscene amounts of money. Everyone deserves basic needs such as food and medical care met. I speak with Noor's and her mother Mona daily so I can verify how the funds are being distributed. Here is her story:

I am Mona from North Gaza, my husband is missing, mother of eight children Ahmed 10 years old, Jasser 12 years old, Montaser 13 years old, Mohammed 21 years old, Basil 22 years old, Asala 20 years old, Manar 19 years old, Noor 23 years old, I have our granddaughter (Dalal 2 years old, Noor 6 months old).

My son Jasser has suffered from severe visual impairment since birth and now his condition is getting worse day by day because of the war. He suffered from three severe eye infections which led to severe dryness in the eye, anemia and colds.

I lost my house, the poultry farm I worked on, my car and everything I worked for years to make under the rubble in one minute I lost 12 members of my family.

We are escaping death and extermination every day

For a year and months we have faced the worst that we could face, starting with the evacuations several times, the suffering and hunger

But that's not all. The hardest thing we have faced is the difficulty of finding water, food and shelter. Some nights, most of the children went to bed hungry, and I could barely afford the food they needed. Most basic food needs are not available in Gaza, and if they were, it would be ten times what I could afford.

It’s not just about losing everything I had, it’s also about having no current income or money, as I was self-employed and not a salaried employee.

We are aiming to raise $70,000 to cover the costs of our urgent evacuation from Gaza to a safe place and provide immediate needs such as food, water, and medical supplies for me, a diabetic who has a herniated disc in my neck, and my son Jasser who needs expensive eye surgery, as well as to help us rebuild our home once the conflict is over. Without this financial support, we face a bleak and uncertain future.
