Support Mona Smith's Urgent Medical Journey

Hi, I am trying to raise money for my aunt, Mona Smith, who is currently in the hospital at Haywood Medical awaiting to be sent out to a facility where she can be seen by a neurosurgeon. There are no facilities with available beds right now. She has been misdiagnosed 3 times, thinking she had a stroke, but finally they found that she has an unknown mass on one side of her spine in the neck area, which is paralyzing her right arm and leg. She will have co-pays and medical bills that she is unable to pay. She is a single, retired woman with no help. My mother has been with her since day 1 to make sure she is being taken care of, and my mother will travel to wherever they decide to send her. These funds will also help my mother with gas and a room if needed. This could be a long road for Mona, and the recovery time is unknown. If you don't know Mona, she is the mother of the late TJ Smith and Jerrilyn Smith. She worked many years at Qualla Housing and retired from there several years ago.
