Hello everyone,

Update on my mom's condition: 2 weeks ago, she was rushed to the hospital where they determined that she had a stroke, which was caused by her leukemia. These are now going to be a common thing for her. Her medicine is not working like the doctors had hoped. She is not able to go back to work again. She has to endure weekly doctor visits now, with constant blood draws. She has no form of income and is falling very behind on all of her bills, while trying to pay for all of her medical bills.

On behalf of our mom, Mona Parmar, we are sharing some sad news and asking for any help that you can provide.

Our mom was recently hospitalized for issuers with fatigue, weakness, rapid weight loss and other symptoms. In the hospital, they discovered her white cell count was very low, leading to a bone marrow biopsy. She endured daily non-IV blood draws to check her white cell count along with a daily shot to hopefully raise her white cell count. Our mom is very tough and even though she was very underweight and in pain, she endured everything with a positive attitude and a smile. She was in the hospital for a week before the medical staff was able to tell her what was wrong... she has leukemia.

Our reason for setting up this fundraiser is that our mom has no medical insurance and desperately needs help.

Right now, she is so scared and worried about the hospital bill {can't even imagine what a weeks worth of hospital stay with tests will come to}, the future visits to the oncologist {each is over $400}, future treatments and how she is going to make it financially with her other bills {house, utilities, etc.} as she is on leave from her job. To add to this, she won't admit it but the scariness of having leukemia and possibly a shorter life span is adding so much more stress that we are afraid her mental health is starting to be affected.

Our mom raised three strong daughters and one son {minor, at home} by herself. She's tough, independent and managed this herself. She doesn't like asking for help, so we are asking for her.

Any donation amount will help and to be clear, all of the funds raised will go directly to our mom's medical bills {hospital, oncologist, treatments, ect.}. She will be the sole beneficiary of this fundraiser.
