Earlier this year, my mom was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis with radiculopathy, cervical stenosis with radiculopathy, and cervical disc degeneration. My mom's neck pain has worsened dramatically over the course of this year. Physical therapy and epidural steroid injections did not help. She is never not in some amount of pain. Sometimes, it’s unbearable for her.
The procedure she is getting is called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and our bill is due by November 19th. We are short of the money currently and need help.
The following notes are from her neurologist:
“Severe decrease in the range of motion in her neck in all directions.”
“MRI of her cervical spine shows severe degeneration at C5-6 and C6-7 with disc height collapse and Modic changes in the surrounding bones and also a fairly large disc protrusion at C5-6 that seems to extend slightly behind the bone. She also has what appears to be potentially some fluid in the facet joint at C4-5.”
“I do not think based on the structural changes that she has at the base of her neck that further conservative care would be effective or appropriate.”
If you are able to donate or share this it would be greatly appreciated, anything helps.
