Support Mom's Painful Burn Recovery

On August 13th Mom was severely burned by a pressure cooker explosion while canning. She was transferred to UW Madison Hospital Burn Unit where she will be about a month depending on how the burns look. She sustained 1st, 2nd & 3rd degree burns to 30% of her upper body. Sounds like she will need skin grafting on some areas. She receives baths daily, where they have to scrape the bacteria off all of the burns, which she says is VERY painful. They also do 2 wound changes a day. We are unsure when she will be able to go back to work, and she’s already sad she’ll be missing the first day of school.
