Help Us Support Mom’s Emergency Shoulder Surgery

On Monday, July 7th, my mom slipped and fell. I rushed her to Memorial Hospital, where we learned she had fractured her humerus and dislocated her collarbone. They gave her a sling and sent us home, but her pain only worsened.

By Friday, the pain became unbearable, so we went to the ER at St. Joseph’s. After re-evaluating her injuries, the doctors confirmed the break and informed us she would need surgery. Today, we met with an orthopedic specialist who delivered even more difficult news—Mom needs a full shoulder replacement.

Unfortunately, she doesn’t have health insurance, and the cost of surgery, hospital visits, and recovery care is overwhelming. The medical bills have already started coming in, and we know this is just the beginning.
