My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma) on June 7, 2024. Since that time she has undergone endless testing, a double mastectomy on Aug 2 and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. We were originally told that mom’s cancer was Stage 1 but we then found out that the cancer spread to 4 lymph nodes; now giving mom a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis.

Mom and Dad have a high deductible health insurance plan. They just paid off the $7,500 deductible in November for 2024. Now mom is in the middle of treatment, a new year has started and they again owe $7,500. That’s over $15,000 in a few months time. I really want Mom to focus on healing and not have the financial burdens of medical bills along with the daily costs of living (mortgage, utilities, food).

Mom is currently going through AC chemo (aka Red Devil) She is not handling the treatment very well and has been very sick. Mom will have 3 more sessions of this; making it very difficult for her to work due to a lowered immune system and the severe nausea she is experiencing from chemo. Your support will allow her to focus on healing and move forward with her treatment; which will include 25 rounds of radiation and one more surgery.
