Support Mom with Ruby's Recovery from Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Hello everyone! I am reaching out on my mother's behalf due to some unfortunate circumstances with her new puppy, Ruby. Mom has barely had Ruby a month now, and this past week there was an unfortunate accident.
Ruby was bit by an adult dog and required emergency life-saving surgery. She was taken to Cornell University Hospital for Animals, where they performed extensive testing before proceeding with surgery. Fortunately, she made it out okay and is on the road to recovery! Unfortunately, the bill for services was quite hefty.
My mother essentially lives paycheck to paycheck, and was forced to open a Care Credit account in order to pay for the veterinary service. Care Credit has a very high interest rate, meaning Mom could be stuck paying this bill the rest of her life. We are hoping anyone that can spare even a small amount could help with this burden, as many of you who know Mom know that she has enough on her plate as it is. I have attached pics of her diagnosis and the bill, so that you can see this is legitimate. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we are truly grateful for your help!
