****Updated 2/13/2025****

When you think you are already living a nightmare, sometimes it can get that much worse. We put our sweet mom doogs to sleep on 1/31/2025. On 2/11/2025 her companion and my soul dog, my 14 yr old pit bull mix, Nikki, became extremely ill and we had to rush her to an emergency vet where we had to make the difficult decision to also put her to sleep. 2/11 also happens to be the memorial date of my own fathers passing. We are hurt, in shock, and most of all have been left completely heartbroken and empty. We lost two of our fur babies within a 2 week period. As you can imagine, the financial strain is next level. Emergency vets, euthanasia and cremation have put a huge hole not only in our hearts but in our wallets. Anything at this time would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Well. Every pet parents worst nightmare is my current reality. My sweet Mom Doogs has been diagnosed with aggressive osteosarcoma. I have been blessed with 14 amazing years with her. And we have made the difficult decision to put her to rest in the near future. I still remember the day I adopted her. She was 9 months old standing in the back of a crowded animal shelter kennel barking and wagging her tail. My father - who is no longer with us - agreed that she would be a perfect addition to our family. Her name at the animal shelter was Momma, which quickly became Mom, to Mom Jan to the present Mom Doogs - pronounced just as it reads but an extra long Dooooooogs makes her the most excited.

These funds will help with the medical bills she has accrued and to send her on her last voyage to the rainbow bridge in her home surrounded by her 13 year old dog sister Nikki, 1 year old cat sister Luna and mom and dad - Luis and myself.

Losing a pet is losing a family member and the added stress of the financial burden of vet care only adds to this pain. Thank you for considering donating to us and sending Mom Doogs on her final voyage.

We are hoping that she remains in her current state till New Years so we can throw her a little New Years party surrounded by her family, her favorite treats, overwhelming love and maybe a party hat marking her last New Years with us.
