Hi friends and family, I need help. Molly is very ill and in the hospital. I happened to be away with family and friends running a race in California when Molly got sick and began vomiting excessively with blood and bloody stools. I came home early on a red-eye only to find Molly near death when I arrived. She was severely anemic and bleeding internally. I rushed her to the Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital, where she was admitted to ICU. Molly has had three blood transfusions, multiple diagnostic tests, and tons of supportive care. The best news is that they didn't see any cancer but rather a large bleeding ulcer by her duodenum. Her prognosis is guarded at this time.

I have had Molly since she was 5 weeks old. She and her brother were being sold on a corner by a drug user. They were tiny. Molly is 8.5 now and by all measures, she is a healthy, active dog. We swim, run, hike, and go on field trips three times a week. She is the leader of my pack, my "big bossy," "the fun police." She mothers my three other dogs, always cleaning them, letting them know and me when it is meal time. She is an amazing swimmer, retriever, and incredibly obedient. She listens to Mama and keeps the rest of the pack in line. I can't imagine my life without her.

Her medical bills are massive , upwards of $15,500. I maxed every credit card I have and am in way over my head. It is very hard to ask for help, but I am asking for help as Molly is going to need more care.
