Hi! It's Molly Peterson. I'm a senior at Prescott College and it's time to start putting pedal to the metal on my senior project: The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, originally produced by StarKid Productions.
Here's the rundown: Everything in Hatchetfield seemed normal until people began singing... Then, they began dancing... And now, a musical pandemic is sweeping the entire city. It’s up to Paul (an average guy who doesn’t like musicals) and his friends to stop this musical apocalypse and fight for humanity’s future.
For two performances only, April 10-11, 2026, myself and a wonderful group of student and local performers will be coming together to share this hilarious comedy horror musical at the Cosmos Theatre in Prescott, AZ!
Production will begin in January of next year, but first, I need your help getting funds to cover theatre costs, costuming, the works. Your contribution will help me graduate college!
Since moving to Prescott, the theatre community has welcomed me with open arms. I've found a new confidence, pushed myself beyond my wildest dreams, and have been given opportunities left and right because of the sheer kindness and generosity of the people of Prescott. I want to return this kindness the best way I know how: through laughter and creative expression.
I'm so excited to make my directorial debut with this show, especially because it will be the first show from Prescott College's newest club: Perthyn Productions! Perthyn is Welsh for belonging, which is a feeling everyone deserves to be wrapped up in. Your support will help in my mission to further connect Prescott College and Prescott itself (Yes, we are open! Come see what we can do!)
With your donation your name will be credited in the playbill under the special thanks section. Your financial support is much appreciated, but so is your moral support! Please share this with everyone you know who loves a good laugh, a dance number, or supporting a broke student make her dream come true. If you're reading this and you'd like to be further involved in the show, that's amazing! We'll need all hands on deck, so feel free to contact me. Auditions will take place in January and are open to the public.
*This campaign is not a Kickstarter. You are not buying tickets to this show, simply funding it's production to help get it off the ground. Ticket sales will be available in 2026, closer to the show itself.
