Meet Molly, a beautiful AKC-registered Rottweiler who isn’t even Molly’s Story
Molly was originally purchased from a reputable breeder by an older woman who wanted a loyal companion. Despite advice to consider a different breed, the woman fell in love with Molly’s sweet personality. Anyone who knows Rottweilers understands how incredible they are—devoted, intelligent, and loving—but they also require structured training, patience, and consistent attention.
After a few months, the woman realized she couldn’t give Molly what she needed. Molly was then rehomed to live on a ranch, where she participated in dock diving for about a year. Sadly, her life there wasn’t the happy ending she deserved. Molly was kept chained outside, exposed to the elements, and left without proper care.
One day, the ranch owner admitted they had “too many dogs” and told Sierra Bekele, owner of Gracious Petz and an experienced animal behaviorist, that Molly needed to be picked up that same day—or face a grim fate.
Without hesitation, Sierra dropped everything, drove hours to the ranch, and rescued Molly. What she found broke her heart: Molly was underweight, unvaccinated, unspayed, and suffering from parasites and anemia. She had clearly been neglected, but despite it all, her gentle and forgiving spirit shone through.

Molly’s Road to Recovery
Since coming into Sierra’s care, Molly has made huge strides:
She has been crate trained.
She learned to walk beautifully on a leash.
She gained healthy weight.
She was treated for parasites and anemia.
She received all of her vaccinations.
She was spayed once her health stabilized.

Each step was a milestone, and the medical costs have been significant. But just as things seemed to be improving, Molly’s recovery took a turn.
Shortly after her spay, Molly became lethargic, developed a fever, and went into respiratory distress. An emergency veterinary visit confirmed that Molly had developed pneumonia during her recovery. She is undergoing costly treatment and needs close supervision.

Why We’re Asking for Help
Sierra has dedicated her life to rescuing and rehabilitating animals across Lake, Napa, and Sonoma counties. She never turns her back on an animal in need, even when it means shouldering enormous financial and emotional burdens.
She knew saving Molly would be costly, but the unexpected emergency expenses have gone far beyond what she can manage alone. Sierra was planning to purchase a home, but instead spent her savings plus more to save Molly.

That’s why we’re reaching out to our community for help. Sierra is a beloved animal expert who has served many families and animals over the years. Rescues and non-profits have been overrun since COVID and unable to help. It is truly up to our communiry and people like Sierra to help.
With your help, we can:
Cover Molly’s emergency veterinary care and ongoing treatment.
Support her continued recovery until she’s fully healthy.
Help Sierra offset the costs of giving Molly the second chance she deserves.

How You Can Help
1. Donate – Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward Molly’s medical care.
2. Share Molly’s Story – The more people who hear about Molly, the more support she will receive.
3. Adopt or Refer – Once Molly is fully recovered, she will be ready for her forever family. If you or someone you know is looking for a sweet, purebred Rottweiler who is healthy, vaccinated, spayed, and full of love, please consider applying.

Molly’s Future
Despite everything she has endured, Molly’s spirit is unbroken. She is affectionate, resilient, and ready to thrive in a loving home. With your help, she can not only recover from pneumonia but also find the family who will finally give her the care and devotion she has always deserved.

Let’s come together to ensure that Molly’s story is one of hope, healing, and new beginnings.

❤️ Thank you for supporting Molly and Sierra. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
