Support Molly Analore's Fight for Health and Education

Update 12/10/2024 - Molly is healing from her recent brain surgery, where the shunt was replaced. She has said that her headaches are lessening, and occurring only every few days. She has been able to continue working, and despite the headaches and dizziness, only missing a few days a week when the pain is too much. We are working to pay off the $2000 she owes for the last semester at West Texas A&M so she can return (online) to complete her last 8 credits. Nearly there! Thank you to everyone for your continued support. We are excited to be finally seeing some progress. - Liisa

Hello friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

I am reaching out today with a heartfelt request for support for my daughter, Molly Analore, who is facing some of the most challenging health battles imaginable at the age of 25. Molly is a fighter, a hard-working young woman with big dreams, but her journey has been filled with medical hurdles that are making it incredibly difficult for her to move forward.

In July of 2023, Molly underwent her first brain surgery at Stanford Medical Center to have a shunt placed to manage her hydrocephalus. Unfortunately, the complications following this surgery led to a brain bleed, and she has been living with the aftermath of this for over a year. Just recently, she underwent her second brain surgery to replace the shunt, in the hopes of alleviating the ongoing complications, including chronic headaches and pressure. While we are hopeful that this surgery will bring her some relief, the road to recovery is long, and the stress on her body has been immense.

But that’s not the only hurdle Molly is facing. Molly has Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, a congenital heart condition that she was born with, which means her heart has been structurally underdeveloped. She’s already undergone four open heart surgeries to correct this condition, but now she’s dealing with abnormal heart rhythms, which are being carefully reviewed by her cardiologists. This adds another layer of concern to her already complicated medical picture.

On top of these serious health issues, Molly is now battling gastrointestinal complications that are affecting her ability to work and attend to daily responsibilities. These issues often cause debilitating pain, nausea, and fatigue, making it difficult for her to stay employed or attend the doctors' appointments she needs. Despite these challenges, Molly remains determined to continue her life and career. She is employed full-time as a scheduler at UW Health in Madison, where she serves the community with great dedication. However, her health issues are becoming increasingly difficult to manage in her job.

Despite these hardships, Molly is so close to achieving her dream of completing her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from West Texas A&M—she is just 8 credits away from graduation. She has always had a passion for helping others, and her goal is to continue her education to earn her master’s degree. However, her health struggles have made it nearly impossible for her to focus on her studies, and pay a back tuition balance to finish her degree.

In addition to these health battles, Molly also faces significant challenges with mobility. She does not drive due to her medical conditions, which means she is reliant on public transportation to get to work, doctor’s appointments, and run daily errands. Living alone in Madison, adds another layer of complexity to her already overwhelming situation. Public transportation isn’t always reliable, and managing her health while navigating public transit can be exhausting, especially when she's dealing with constant medical appointments and frequent ER visits.

Molly is a resilient and driven young woman who refuses to let her medical challenges define her. But, the reality is that she needs help right now. While she is thankfully covered by insurance, the medical costs are overwhelming, and the frequency of doctor’s appointments, ER visits (averaging every 4 days), and prescription medications is putting a financial strain on her.

This is where we are asking for your help.

How Your Support Will Make a Difference
We are asking for donations to help cover the following:

Medical bills from multiple surgeries, ER visits, and specialist appointments.
Prescription costs for managing her chronic conditions and ongoing medications.

Tuition and fees to help Molly complete her Social Work degree, and support her as she works toward her master’s degree in the future.

Living expenses to help Molly continue working at UW Health while managing her health, and ensure she can get the rest she needs to heal.

Transportation costs to help Molly manage the expenses related to her reliance on public transportation, as well as the added costs of missed work due to health issues.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Molly continue her education, pay for essential medical care, and stay afloat during this difficult time. Your generosity will enable Molly to focus on her recovery, achieve her academic goals, and continue pursuing her passion for helping others in the social work field.

Molly’s determination and strength are truly inspiring. She is a warrior, and with your support, we can help her take the next step toward recovery and a brighter future.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. Please share Molly’s story with your friends and family, and know that your kindness is making a world of difference in her life.

With gratitude,
Liisa (Molly's Mom)
