In memory of Mohammed Yusuf, Nassau Bangladeshi Community (NBC) is raising funds to support Mohammed’s family during this heartbreaking time. Mohammed Yusuf suddenly passed away on October 4, 2026, at 8:48 AM at Long Island Jewish Medical Center due to kidney disease. He was only 42 years old. Mohammed was a loving husband to Khaleda Akter and a devoted father to their two young sons, Shayan Imtiaz, 10, and Shafin Imtiaz, 7. He lived in Hicksville, NY with his family and worked tirelessly as an Uber driver, serving as the sole provider for their household.
His sudden passing has left Khaleda and the children facing overwhelming grief along with urgent financial hardship. These funds will help Mohammed’s family cover daily living costs and keep up with the mortgage as they try to find stability in the days ahead. Nassau Bangladeshi Community (NBC) humbly asks the community to come together and support this grieving family. Every donation, no matter how small, will help provide food, shelter, and peace of mind for Khaleda and her children. If donating is not possible, please share this fundraiser and keep Mohammed Yusuf and his family in your prayers. May Allah (SWT) grant Mohammed Jannatul Firdaus and give his loved ones strength and patience during this painful time. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and duaas. Ameen.
