Support Mohammed Ismail's Journey to UWC

Hi my name is Mohammed Ismail I'm a student from Sudan, I am passionate about programming and technology and aspire to use my skills to contribute to Sudan's development, and I have always working on developing myself and skills , and I'm always trying to involve on things that help me educate myself and get myself out of my comfort zone.

Luckily, in the last year, I've applied to United World Colleges (UWC), through UWC Sudan National Committee. In March 2024, I received the news that I was successful and I have obtained a full tuition and boarding scholarship to attend UWC of Southern Africa ....For me, UWC is an opportunity that helps to gain more experience in my life and challenging myself , this is a life changing opportunity that will allow me to pursue my career passion to become a software engineer and ultimately contribute to my country's development.

I have always believed in the power of education to transform lives and uplift communities. I am incredibly passionate about using my skills and what I learnt from UWC to create positive change. The UWC program, with its focus on international understanding and peacebuilding, aligns perfectly with my values and aspirations.

the challenges

While my tuition is fully covered, I am in urgent need of financial assistance to cover the remaining travel expenses necessary to make this dream a reality. These costs include:

• Travel expenses from Khartoum to Port Sudan

• A flight ticket to eswatini

The ongoing conflict in Sudan has severely impacted my family's financial stability, making it impossible to afford these travel expenses on our own .
