Our dear friend, brother and neighbor, Mohammed Gouse, needs our support. On February 20th, the car he was driving was struck in a hit-and-run accident in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood. The yet unknown driver of an SUV ran a red light, and fled the scene, leaving Mohammed critically injured and clinging to life. Tragically, the 25 year old passenger in his vehicle did not survive the accident.

Miraculously, Mohammed survived. After spending 20 days in the ICU, multiple fractures and surgeries, he is recovering under the care of hospital staff and medical professionals. But the road to recovery is still a long one, and Mohammed remains hospitalized more than a month later. He will be unable to work for at least the next several months as he heals, regains strength and mobility. Anyone who has met Mohammed knows how kind, helpful and caring he is to friends and neighbors in need. Now, it is our turn to rally and support Mohammed in his time of need. Donations will help Mohammed cover mounting housing expenses, bills as well as legal fees as he and his family navigate this senseless tragedy.
