Support Moe's Recovery and Desert Dogs

When we moved out to Lake Los Angeles, we never expected to be bombarded with desert dogs. But dogs kept coming to our trailer; looking for food, water & maybe some friends. Some dogs showed up with gnarly ropes tied tight around their necks, leaving sores & scars. We cut the ropes & tried to find their owners. But out here in the desert, it's not always easy to figure out each dog's situation. We didn't know what to do except to leave out some water & show them some kindness.
Then one day, three little puppies were dumped outside by someone at just about 7 weeks old. We couldn't just leave them to die out in the desert and couldn't find anywhere to take them. So we got them their vaccines and tried to get them homes. We found a home for one but due to the area being a dumping ground for dogs we couldn't find homes for the others. One day the female pup, Sandy, got sick. The estimate for her care was $4,800 at the vet for three days of care because somehow, despite us vaccinating them, she got parvo. Unfortunately she passed after 4 days. Then her brother got it too. We luckily found a much cheaper vet who had to keep him for 2 weeks. Mo survived and the vet bill came out to $3,185. Any help paying off that bill and anything else will go to caring for the poor abandoned dogs that found us.
