Support Moe's Battle Against Folicular T Celll Lymphoma
Donation protected
Our beloved brother and friend, Moe, has been diagnosed with stage 4 T-cell Follicular Lymphoma, which has metastasized to his bones. He has begun chemotherapy and faces a challenging journey ahead, including a bone marrow transplant after his chemo, *God willing.*
This devastating news has shocked us all.
Moe, just 31 years old, is known for his strength of character. Brave, confident, and resilient, he has always been full of life and energy, with a heart to match. Moe is the kind of person who lights up a room the moment he enters, always turning a bad day around with his humor. Despite his diagnosis, Moe continues to bring joy and laughter to those around him.
Moe is married to his beloved wife, Lusanda Joji Hostetler, and together they have three wonderful, energetic boys: Beckham (5), Brenson (3), and Braxton (1.5). The family recently relocated back to Dalton Kidron, Ohio.
In December 2023, Moe began experiencing pain and aches, especially in his joints. Initially, he thought it was due to the physical demands of his job as a mover. However, the pain persisted, and he noticed weight loss as well. In February, Moe visited the ER due to severe, generalized pain and was misdiagnosed with mono. A week later, after another ER visit for continued weight loss and pain, doctors told him, "You might have cancer."
A subsequent CT scan confirmed the presence of lymphoma. A biopsy of a lymph node removed from his groin revealed that Moe has a rare and aggressive form of lymphoma: Follicular T-cell lymphoma. While many lymphomas are treatable with a 90% survival rate, this specific type is especially dangerous. His treatment plan is just as aggressive, involving chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, steroids, and potent pain and nausea medications.
Moe began chemotherapy on April 29, 2024, and had an implanted chest port placed on May 1 for infusion therapy. Currently, he is undergoing his third round of chemo, fighting hard through the many ups and downs of this grueling battle. Yet through it all, Moe remains positive, trusting in God to guide him through this dark time.
The foundation for Moe's treatment is in place, and now we can do what we can: keep him in our prayers and support him however possible.
As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
The cost of cancer treatment is immense, not to mention the everyday expenses of providing for a family. We are asking for community support as Moe undergoes these difficult treatments. Let’s surround him with love, comfort, and financial assistance to help ease the emotional and financial burdens he faces.
You have the power to make a difference in Moe's life. Your help—whether through donations or words of encouragement—will relieve his worries and allow him to focus on healing.
Now is the time for us, as Moe’s family, friends, and community, to step up and make this journey a little easier for him and his family. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help rebuild Moe’s journey.
Please keep Moe in your prayers during this challenging time.
Any and all donations are deeply appreciated.
We also kindly ask that you share Moe's story on social media to help raise awareness.
