Moe Kalach is a devoted father and husband who has always put his family first. Out of his four children, two of his daughters have severe heart conditions, and Moe is also caring for his ailing father and, until recently his mother, his middle-school aged son, 2 year old son and his wife. As the sole financial provider for his household, Moe recently made the difficult decision to take a leave of absence from his job as an aircraft mechanic so he could be there for his daughters—especially his 4-month-old, who is facing her second open heart surgery. Although the surgery was scheduled for January, her medical team has postponed it until she becomes stronger. During this time, Moe is focusing on caring for his family, particularly his youngest daughter and his father, while the financial strain from medical bills and daily expenses continues to grow. The stress of being the only provider, combined with the emotional toll of his daughters' health challenges, has made it increasingly difficult for Moe to keep his family's head above water.

Moe is known for his exuberant personality and his ability to bring smiles wherever he goes. He cherishes his friends and has always been there to help others in any way possible. Moe is a very generous person—especially when it comes to potlucks and gatherings. You never know when he's going to surprise everyone with a special delicacy! Now, as Moe and his family face this terrifying time, we have the opportunity to give back and help alleviate some of the stress they are experiencing. When those we love go through hardship, we naturally want to contribute and lessen their burden. A parent should be able to focus on the health of their sick child, helping them recover or prepare for whatever comes next. Moe and his family deserve to be together and supported as they navigate this journey. If we can support them in any way, big or small, it will allow them to concentrate on moving through the diagnosis and come out stronger on the other side. We hope we can return Moe's generosity and show him how much his kindness means to all of us.
