UPDATE: Mochi is on his way home, after over 24 hours of emergency care, iv fluids, tons of medication and testing later. He has improved enough to come home for the remainder of his treatment. We got meds for him and will be closely watching him to make sure he continues to get better I updated the gofundme with the final cost of his treatment, thankfully it is less than we were originally quoted because he was able to come home sooner than 48 hours.
Mochi is in critical condition and needs our help
Our corgi Mochi is in critical condition at the emergency vet. Over the last few days, he has been having diarrhea, which then turned into vomiting. It aggressively turned for the worse last night and he has been pooping straight blood and unable to keep even water down. He was taken at around 1:30 am to the emergency vet and was given IV fluids as well as medication to stop the GI hemorrhaging. He came home around 6 am this morning for outpatient treatment, and in the next few hours, he was not able to keep down water even with the antiemetic medication injection they gave him, so he is now back in the ER for inpatient treatment. He has not improved yet, and we are so worried about our guy. X-ray results should be in soon, and we can give more of an update on costs when we know more and what his treatment looks like. As of right now, the first visit was almost $1k, and this second visit is looking at almost $4k. Depending on treatment and what is wrong with him, that price could increase, and we simply don’t have the money to cover the cost of his emergency care. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this helps us so much. We appreciate any and everything.
