Hi, my name is Valerie and I'm trying to raise money for my best friend, Mocah. He has been with me since he was two months old and will be turning 9 this October. He has completely changed my life for the better and I cannot thank him enough for coming into my life. Mocah is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet, he loves attention and putting a smile on people's faces. If he sees anyone who looks sad, he'll come up to them and curl up so they can hug him or he'll give endless kisses. His favorite things to do are go on walks with his mom (me), play with his toys, and nap.

Recently, Mocah had an accident while playing and tore his CCL. The CCL is equivalent to a human's ACL. He is struggling to walk and as of now we are carrying him or using a sling whenever he needs to go outside. Mocah had an appointment with an Orthopedic specialist where they concluded the best option for him is to have a TPLO (tibial plateau levelling osteotomy) surgery. The surgery will help stabilize his joint. Dogs who have this surgery are expected to have a recovery term of 8 weeks.

We would love for Mocah to have this surgery done as soon as possible so he can start his journey to recovery! Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure is around $8K on the high end.
