Mobile Smiles' Dental Outreach: Bolivia 2025

Mobile Smiles is a charity that originated in the UK and has recently expanded its reach to the USA. Our mission is to raise awareness and provide essential dental care to underserved communities. We have conducted outreach trips throughout Africa and South America, gradually expanding our impact.

This year, we are embarking on a dental outreach trip to Bolivia in March, for the first time. Our team of dentists, hygienists, and dental students will work together to deliver care to remote villages around Santa Cruz that do not have access to dental care. However, our long-term goal is to kickstart a sustainable mobile clinic project fully equipped to reach those areas and provide long-term care for the areas we serve.

In addition to providing dental care, our team will visit a homeless shelter and orphanages to contribute to overall health programs. We will offer dental treatments, hygiene instructions, and provide medications and medical equipment as needed.

Last year, in collaboration with our partner organizations in Egypt, Ecuador, and Peru, we managed to reach thousands of children and adults, providing treatments and preventative measures. Our dedicated team of dentists, dental hygienists, and students worked tirelessly to alleviate pain and educate patients on oral healthcare practices.

To sustain our mobile clinics and cover costs such as instruments, dental supplies, personal protective equipment, and sterilization tools, we rely solely on donations. Your generous contributions will enable us to reach more patients and continue our vital mission. Additionally, a portion of the donations will support children in need of daily medication, essential medical supplies, and clothing.

Our ultimate goal is to establish a sustainable program that continues long after the outreach trip concludes, and for patients requiring further or advanced care to be seamlessly connected to our local clinics to complete their treatment. We are committed to providing care to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, or any other demographics, and we welcome everyone with open arms.
