Support Moaz's Family in Gaza Crisis

Donation protected
We are Harris Students for Palestine, a student group at (not officially affiliated with) the University of Chicago. We are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a friend, Moaz Ashour, and his family, who are currently enduring conditions of genocide in Gaza. The family has been forcibly displaced multiple times, and they are now living in makeshift, temporary shelters without access to basic needs. The funds raised will go towards buying essentials like food, water, and medicine. Gofundme does not allow non-Western people to setup their own fundraisers so (as suggested on the Gofundme website) we will transfer funds to Moaz and his family. We will upload Western Union receipts ever $1000 to validate that the funds are going to Moaz. We have verified his identity with location, identity papers, and social media.

Moaz in his own words:

Hello, I am Moaz from Gaza, Palestine. I am 19 years old, and I study software development at the Islamic University. You all know the events and what happened after the 7th of October. My family and I lived through horrific days and events that caused us to be displaced from our homes and more than once from one place to another, then in tents and shelters in the city of Rafah.
‎‏
I cannot describe to you the amount of suffering, hunger, and fear that I, my family, and my people experienced. You have seen the extent of the destruction that the occupation caused to us and to our homes.

‎‏Our house in which we live was destroyed after what my father bought after many years of work. It was gone in the blink of an eye. This building in which our house is located belongs to one of my uncles, who had recently finished building it, but the occupation prevented him from being happy and settling in it after suffering for a long time due to his exile. So that he could build it, we lost what we had, and here are pictures of our house

‎‏When it was destroyed, this is what we were able to get from some relatives who are in Gaza. We have lost everything we have and we say thanks god, ‎please help us. People in Gaza don’t have place to sleep money to buy essentials of life, and the high prices have depleted what we have. We hope that you will help us to coexist like any other human with my family and to complete my education and achieve my dreams to save my future and my family ❤️
