Hi friends!

I’m reaching out with a big ask for a very special dog named Madame Jenny (MJ for short #185783 from NYC ACC). MJ is a sweet, silly, and vibrant senior pup who has been in my foster care for 8 months. Despite her age and health challenges, she’s still full of life and joy. She loves long walks, playing fetch, and snuggling with her favorite squeaky stuffed toys. MJ is a 35-pound bundle of happiness, and it breaks my heart to know that she’s been living in pain for so long.

MJ has been dealing with chronic ear infections for years, and the only solution is a TECABO surgery to remove the painful, infected tissue. In addition, she has a mammary mass that requires a mastectomy to ensure her quality of life. Both of these procedures are crucial to help MJ live the pain-free life she deserves, but the total cost of the surgeries is more than I can handle on my own.

While I’m doing everything I can to care for MJ, including covering some of her expenses, it’s just not sustainable in the long term for me as a foster. MJ has already been overlooked for adoption because of her health conditions, but I believe she still has so many wonderful years ahead of her. She deserves the chance to enjoy those years without suffering, and I’m hoping you’ll help make that possible.

The Hansel Foundation has generously pledged $300, and New Hope Partners are stepping in to pull MJ from the shelter, which is a huge relief. Their support is crucial in helping MJ get the care she needs, but as many rescues are currently overwhelmed, it’s clear that additional resources are needed to give her the best chance at a healthy and happy life.

This is where I’m asking for your help. I’m hoping to raise $5,000 to cover MJ’s surgeries and ongoing care. I’ve already committed $1,000 of my own to get her started, but I can’t do it alone.
