Support Mitsy Faye's Fight Against FIP

Hi, I am reaching out to ask for financial help for my daughter and son-in-law. After a particularly difficult year of loss, they got a little kitten, Mitsy Faye, as a companion to be with my daughter. At 5-1/2 months she developed symptoms of lethargy and poor appetite. After six vet visits over a two week period she was diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) which is caused by a feline coronavirus. While usually considered fatal in cats, there is treatment available outside of the U.S., which has not been currently approved by FDA in this country. Misty’s vet feels she has a good chance of recovery with this course of treatment and has started the process to acquire it. While waiting for this, Mitsy’s condition warranted hospitalization due to fever, dehydration and fluid build-up in her abdomen, which has added to the already high cost ($4,000) of the actual FIP medicine they are waiting for.
Any help that you are able to give would be much appreciated. This little cat is truly loved and has meant so much more than can be put into words. Please help save Mitsy Faye.
Update 5/28
Mitsy spent the holiday weekend at an urgent care facility at the recommendation of her regular vet to monitor her fever, for IV hydration, and removal of abdominal fluid.
Today she saw her regular Dr. who began her FIP treatment and monitored her for hydration and feedings to help strengthen her.

Update 5/29
Mitsy was back today to the vet as she received the 2nd shot of her FIP treatment. She was monitored for blood sugar, hydration, syringe feeding and watching her after the shot to see how she tolerated it. She is spending the night so they can keep her as comfortable as possible. She was a little feisty today, which is a good sign.

Update 5/29
Mitsy spent the day with the vet so that she could be monitored again following her FIP treatment shot (# 3). She is not having fever and has been able to keep liquids down. She also seems a little stronger today. We hold onto hope.

Update 6/1
Thank you so much to all who prayed and gave of their finances to help in Mitsy’s fight against FIP. Knowing she had so many people rooting for her was such a blessing! She had a whole veterinary crew who went above and beyond to aid in her recovery (Thank you to @lovingcareveterinary).
Our hearts are broken as Mitsy Faye lost her battle with FIP. She is with the Lord now. She had been doing well, responding to treatment until early yesterday, when suddenly her body just gave up the fight. We will treasure her memory forever and her little joyful spirit.
Again, we so appreciate all your prayers and support. If you gave financially, can you DM your address so we can send a special thank you from Mitsy.
