My name is Mitchell, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

Over the past several weeks, my life has taken a turn I never expected. I was hospitalized with congestive heart failure, and the time I spent in the hospital left me unable to work. While fighting for my health, I fell behind on everything — including my housing. Now, I’m recovering from a serious medical condition while at the same time struggling not to become homeless.

I’m trying my best to stay strong, but the truth is: I can’t do this alone.

Because I’ve been out of work, I’ve lost my income, and the bills keep piling up. I’m raising funds to help cover:

• Emergency housing & rent

• Medical expenses & recovery needs

• Basic necessities while I’m unable to work

• Stability so I can get back on my feet once I’m cleared to return to work

This has been one of the most overwhelming and humbling experiences of my life. I’m not the type of person who usually asks for help, but right now I’m facing both a health crisis and a housing crisis at the same time.
