Support the Family of Garrett Curtis

My name is Kristen. I am setting up this fundraiser with her permission for my cousin, Misty, and her family.

A few days ago, Misty's 15-year-old son, Garrett, was involved in a terrible car accident with his dad, Joe. Joe didn't make it. Garrett was flown to Grant Medical Center and later transferred to Nationwide Children's Hospital where he remains. Unfortunately, on Saturday, May 25th, it was determined that Garrett's injuries had caused an irreversible loss of all brain function, and he was pronounced legally deceased by neurological standards. Misty has decided to proceed with tissue and organ donation so that Garrett's legacy may live on and help improve the lives of so many. Garrett will remain on supportive care until his procurement surgery tomorrow afternoon. Misty continues to stay at his side and will until the end.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Misty and Garrett's family with funeral expenses, as well as living expenses while they grieve and navigate this loss. No one plans or prepares for the loss of their child. Hopefully, the money raised in this fundraiser can help ease some of the burden.
