RIP Mister Allen Henley-DeShazo 8/30/25

I wanted to provide everyone with an update after several failed attempts yesterday to get Mister treated. I found a place that will be decompressing his bladder to buy us some time. I am unable to cover the full deposit being requested which was just shy of the low end total.

He is being treated at Tropicana Animal Hospital now - thanks to all the donors we are more than halfway there. I will be taking him back home with me after his treatment today and am trying to reach the new goal within 24 hours as his bladder will be needing emptied again at that time.

I appreciate the love and support shown to us.

Will provide another update once we are back home and settled.

We visited the Durango Animal clinic - the vet did a quick examination and determined that he was blocked. Due to not having enough funds for the full procedure they did turn us away and recommended another vet. I contacted them and advising the situation and they were also not able to help at this time. Called someone else they recommended they also were unwilling to work with me.

I will continue to try and find a vet that will work with us - or l will be going into the vet that assisted him about 4 years ago for the same situation. However, he was not fully blocked. If unable to find anyone to do the procedure I will at least request pain medications to keep him comfortable and pray for a miracle.

I will provide another update tomorrow morning when I have more information on his condition and vet status.

Hello, my name is Justin DeShazo from Las Vegas!!!

I am hoping for support for my ill fur family member, Mister.

He has been experiencing severe urinary issues for the past 2.5 days, unable to urinate and meowing in pain at times. I have called around for information to get him seen and filled out the application for Hearts Alive Village. I will also be contacting them to see if we can expedite this.

Unfortunately, both members of my household have been out on disability, and I am no longer receiving benefits pending the long-term application. My partner recently won his appeal and will be receiving backpay - thank the Lord! However, I do know how dire this situation is, especially with male cats. (He's been through this before, sadly, and luckily at the time, we had not yet paid our rent and no questions asked, put the poor guy first.)

I currently have $8 and do not know when that backpay will be hitting the account.

If you have it in your heart, my furbaby and family will be indebted to each of your kind souls forever.

Attached is my sweet boy and for smiles, his best friend Carmen, who would not know how to go on without him. I appreciate all the advice and support! I could never think of surrendering my boy of 8 years.
