Hi all, we are J & Y! We are fundraising money to help us pay our vet bills for our beloved cat, Missy. She is 9 years old and the light in our lives.

On Tuesday 11/25, Missy started having diarrhea which is unusual for her. We had just moved into a new place, and we thought she was stressed from such a big move and a new change. She usually adjusts to new places pretty quickly, but as the week went on, her energy and appetite decreased, and her diarrhea was worsening.

On Friday 11/28, we took Missy to her regular vet to have her evaluated for her diarrhea. We went home with some new food and medication to try, which she did not approach at all. Her energy and appetite were still low, and the episodes of diarrhea became more frequent.

On the night of 11/30, we took her to the 24/7 emergency vet to have her re-evaluated. She received lab work and an X-ray which resulted negative, along with anti-nausea and antibiotic medications. We took her back home on the morning of 12/1 with some new foods and medication, and fluid for hydration. Thankfully, she had enough energy to eat her first real meal in almost a week.

Today, Wednesday 11/3, we took her back to her regular vet as she has stopped eating again, and she was experiencing so much diarrhea that it was leaking from her bottom and turning the skin raw.
The fecal parasite test resulted negative today, so it is not the cause of her diarrhea. There, she received anti-nausea medication, a vitamin B12 injection, and a clean-up of the fur around her bottom. We went home with another new food and an oral antibiotic, along with wipes and an ointment to help heal her backside.

As you can imagine, we and Missy have been through a lot in over a week. We're fortunate enough to have been able to pay for all the vet expenses so far via credit, but we do not have the means to pay the upcoming vet bill and for any other expenses/bills. We know everyone has their own financial struggles and we hate to ask this of anyone, but if you can donate and/or share this to help us pay off any of this bill, we will be forever grateful.

Missy is our light and our world. We are doing what we can so she stays comfortable and recovers from this soon. We want to see her return to her usual goofy self, and to have energy again to eat, drink, and play. We are more than happy to answer any questions you have, and will update when we can with anything new. Thank you so much for your love and support.
