Happy to report today was mom’s last day of treatment. She did it. It was not easy for her. She is one hell of a woman.

Shannons Saga Part lll

Many of you dont know this because wrapping your head around this much f*ckery is un-nessasary for the average human. You couldn’t make this up if you tried. I’ll make it short & sweet.

- Basically, to the point - In the midst of my breast cancer treatment I was angry. Mad at the world if we’re being honest.

My mother is queen of the tough love and was in town helping me with my new “normal”. We were arguing and in a nutshell she yelled at me. After the first three words nothing else came out. Her lips would move but was very faint. Fast forward a few weeks, nothing changed. We argued again… and I forced mom right into that doctors office we all dread so much. Fast forward 3 more weeks… Doc delivered the worst possible outcome. Your mom has cancer on her (larynx) aka voicebox!! GTFOH!!!! How is that even possible? She needs treatment and she needs it quick. Well, I won’t go into details but let’s just say I never let mama leave and go back home. Instead she immediately started her treatment (5 days a week radiation and one day a week chemo) and she did it with the upmost bravery, grace and discipline. She always sets the best example.

Well…. y’all TODAY my MOM has finished her treatment too. Her tumor is gone and her future looks lots better now. My heart is so happy and relieved. This has been the scariest year of my life and I finally see it all coming to an end. I made it. We made it!!

Mom has been at my house for almost 10 months. (not working because she had to help me) She is headed back home soon but needs a few things to make her now new normal a tad bit easier and comfortable.

Tis the season so if ya have a $5,$10 or a million please consider helping her make this transition alittle easier during this holiday season. Together we can show Missy (mom) how thankful we are for her!!!
