On October 12th, my aunt Missy, her husband Dave, their son Dawson and their sweet grandson Jax—who will be celebrating his 5th birthday on the 22nd—lost their home in a tragic explosion. In an instant, the place they’ve called home for over 20 years was gone. This wasn’t just a house—it was where they raised all three of their children, built countless memories, and now were raising their beloved grandson Jax. Thankfully, their two dogs made it out safely, but everything else was lost.

Dave is currently in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center, fighting for his life, while Missy, Dawson, and little Jax are trying to stay strong and process the unimaginable. They’ve lost everything they own and are now facing the difficult road of starting over from nothing.

This fundraiser will help with urgent needs—basic necessities, clothing (thank you to everyone who has already donated clothing!), food, temporary housing, and lost wages while they focus on healing and recovery. Every single donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference for this family who has always been there for others.
