For two years, I served as a missionary at Okinawa World Mission Christian School, a place that became like family to me. The staff and church community welcomed me with open arms, helping me navigate a new country, language, and culture. Even when they had little, they gave generously and supported me through every challenge. My students became like my own family, and I saw firsthand how much the school means to everyone there. I really grew to understand what Jesus meant when He said, “love your neighbor as yourself..”

Now, I want to give back in a meaningful way. Next August, I plan to return to Okinawa with a team of four. Together, we hope to address some of the school’s most urgent needs—installing air conditioning units to make classrooms safe and comfortable, pressure washing and painting the building to restore its spirit, and providing supplies that will help students and teachers thrive. Many of those who serve at the school already give so much of themselves, often balancing many responsibilities, so our team is eager to step in and help where it’s needed most.

Your support will not only create an opportunity to go to Okinawa and serve, but it will also help us create a safer, healthier, and more welcoming environment for the students and staff. Every contribution brings us closer to making a lasting difference for a community that has given so much, even out of their own need.

And the most important thing is that the message of Jesus Christ continues to spread throughout the school, as well as Japan. These sweet children and teachers live in a nation that’s less than 0.1% Christian. That can feel isolating, and I would love for them to know that they have other Christian brothers and sisters praying for them, and supporting their growth and wellbeing. What a blessing it is to parter with God and help His people! To God be the glory.
