Hi, my name is Fabiola and I’m reaching out for help with Misses, a young cat we rescued from a park—malnourished, weak, and fighting for her life.

When we found her, Misses was severely dehydrated, had no appetite, and could barely stand. We rushed her to the vet where she received fluids and care. What we didn’t know at first was that she was pregnant—and hanging on by a thread.

Over the past few days, she’s undergone extensive testing, hydration therapy, and around-the-clock care. The good news? She tested negative for feline AIDS and feline parvo, and her bloodwork showed no infection. But tragically, her little body couldn't support the pregnancy, and she miscarried her kittens.

Despite everything, Misses is still fighting. She’s responding to care and beginning to show signs of relief and rest. The vets believe with continued hydration, nutrition, and monitoring, she can recover and live a full, happy life.

We’re asking for help to cover:

Emergency vet visits & diagnostics: $779

IV hydration follow-up care: $438

High-calorie food & medical supplements (A/D, Rescue): $50

Potential spay and recovery needs: $60

Update: A Day at the Hospital & A Glimmer of Hope!! 5/17/25

Today, Misses spent the entire day at the animal hospital receiving fluids, medication, and intensive care—and we’re so relieved to say she’s showing signs of improvement.

For the first time since we rescued her, she stood up on her own and even took a few small bites of food without help. While we’re still syringe-feeding her for the most part, these little steps are promising markers in her recovery.

She received antibiotics, an appetite stimulant, and IV hydration throughout the day. Her next recheck with the vet is scheduled for Monday, and until then, we’ll continue providing her round-the-clock care, including her medication, feeding, and hydration.

We can’t thank you enough for your support—it’s because of your kindness that Misses is getting the chance to heal.

Update 5/19/25

We just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support, generosity, and kind words. Your help has made a huge difference for our sweet rescue mama cat, Misses.

Today, she went back to the hospital for a follow-up visit. The vet removed her catheter, and she received a vitamin B injection as well as a multivitamin injection to help boost her strength and recovery. She was sent home with a bag of fluids that we’ll be administering subcutaneously each day — something we’re learning how to do with care and love.

She’s also being tested for intestinal parasites, and we should have those results in the next couple of days. We’re staying hopeful and continuing to support her with everything we can.
