Miss Grace*, our Fairfax County neighbor, is facing an incredibly painful and uncertain time. In February 2026, her husband Eduardo* was racially profiled on his way to a construction job, detained, and has been set to be deported as of the first week of April 2026. In the middle of this crisis, Grace has been left to care for their children on her own while also working hard to survive and keep their household together - a daily struggle filled with fear, stress, and uncertainty.
Grace* is doing everything she can to provide for her children plus cover legal costs, but the situation has become overwhelming. She has been working hard to pay rent, keep food on the table, clothe the kids, and care for her 1-year-old baby, who still needs diapers and formula. These basic needs add up quickly, and with her husband gone, the financial and emotional burden has fallen on her shoulders, using up her savings and available credit.
As neighbors and community members, we need to let Grace know she is not alone. This fundraiser is meant to help her family stay afloat during this difficult time and give them some breathing room while they fight for justice and stay hopeful. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will help this sweet, caring family to stay cared for and survive.
