After receiving such an overwhelming response to my request for help for our Miss Droves, I have set up a way for anyone that asked to donate to ensure we are able to take care of her as she has done for so many of us over the years. With close to six decades in education, it’s time for her to be comfortable and pampered a bit. We are in the process of selling her home and trying to find ways to establish her in a lovely assisted living home in North Stafford. It is a startling reality just how difficult it is to fund needed care as we age and to even obtain basic necessities. You all have made her feel more loved over this last few days than I believe she ever thought possible. When we read the comments, we both start to cry. Please know between the offers to help in any way and the offers to help financially, we are going to make this all happen for her. She will love the opportunity to entertain and hold court in her new home as she will always be The Queen.
